We are 10 days before the premiere of STRAWINSPIRATIE. This week we start the intense reahearsels to be ready for next week. Lucinda Childs and Nils Christe are here with us to work on the details for their pieces, which are Psalmsymfony and Le Sacre du Printemps.The programme will start with Entre deux by Thierry Malandain, a worldcreation for Introdans. Together with dancer Katharina Kostka, I dance this duet. Thierry was here 2 months ago for two weeks. He made a piece for 2 dancers (a pas de deux). He got inspired by the story he chose and from the music, as every step comes with an accent from the melody. We tried so many steps and versions until Thierry said "ok ça ça va!". My opinion is that he really knows what he wants, he just has to see his steps on the dancer and after it will get cleaner by working on it, and that's what we are doing now: cleaning the piece, work on the stamina and on the personality of the character. So, as you can see, we still have a lot of work to do. But all of us, we're really looking forward to be on stage and show to the audience all the work we did for this new pieces.
