Free day!
Last night we had our first performances in the beautiful city of Lyon. We got to explore a little bit of the city’s nightlife and today, used some of the free day to sleep in and have a big brunch. After trying to figure out the complicated metro systems we got help from a nice stranger and got to travel on subways and trams into the city. Once we arrived in the center we climbed up to the Basilique Notre Dame de Fourvière where we could look over the city and see all the way to Mont Blanc Mountain, which unfortunately was a little clouded over.
We walked down from the cathedral through the Jardins du Rosaire, a beautiful rose garden, into the center to have a little break and enjoy some traditional French crêpes. We walked over the bridge Passerelle du Palais de Justice on the Saône River to all meet together and finish our day with some more French cuisine. We are all now back at the hotel having our after dinner naps, relaxing and getting ready for the week coming up. Tomorrow is our first official school show with a new cast so we are eager and ready to see how it will go.
